Personal Finance, Bargains/Deals and My Misc Ramblings
This past three days, my wife and I went on a three day fruit fasting - eating only fruits for three consecutive days. We really want to start eating healthy and this process is a good way to start. Yap, no meat, fish, bread, rice, chicken, seafoods, cakes, and the likes. The fruits that we ate during those three days are apples, melons, plums, nectarines, peaches, banana, tomatoes, watermelons, avocado (although it is considered a vegetable). It’s our first time doing the fruit fasting that’s why we start to crave for the other foods especially at the end of the period.
So how did we celebrate it? By going to an all you can eat restaurant. We went to a Chinese Buffet restaurant and guess what our appetizers are? Yap, fruits and vegetables. Mind you, we did not eat any meat. Most of the food that we selected are seafoods (mussels, shrimp, squid, and crab), fish, fried vegetables, soups, and the likes. We are really trying to cut back on eating meat. Nope, we are not vegetarians yet because we still eat meat but we just want to minimize the intake.
Anyways, we are planning on doing this fruit fasting every other week. But in the meantime, I’m plannign to eating fruits for breakfast and dinner. and will include rice on my lunch.

Thanks. Fruit flies are also attracted to rotting
bananas, potatoes, onions and other unrefrigerated produce purchased at the grocery store. Fruit flies can be a problem year round, but are especially common during late summer/fall because they are attracted to ripened or fermenting fruits and vegetables.
