Personal Finance, Bargains/Deals and My Misc Ramblings
I was watching an episode of Friends where Chandler was a member of a gym but he never went to it. Although the episode was funny, it does hold some truth. A lot of people join a gym membership only to do it for a couple of months and then stop. Some people are really motivated but some are not. The cost is at least $25 per month for some gyms. For some, the membership became what they call as a “library card,” which one owns but never uses.
Every weekend mornings, I would normally turn the TV on and would see a couple of infomercials regarding exercise equipment. Some shows an all-in-one exercise equipment which serves as home gyms. Their selling point is that the cost for a few of them is somewhat equivalent to a one year membership of gyms. But the difference is that you get to keep those equipments.
As much as I like exercising, it is still tough for me to purchase those exercise equipment because the same issue will happen- “library card.” Only this time, I don’t know what to call it since it is not a card. As for me, I just like walking and jogging, doing a little push-ups or sit-ups. if I stop doing them, at least it did not cost me anything to purchase them in the first place.
