One good thing about the New Year’s day here in Los Angeles is the Rose Parade. This event has been conducted for more than a hundred years and it has been a tradition in Pasadena. There are a lot of participants from all over the world and a lot of volunteer hours donated by the participants. In the afternoon, I will pretty much watch the Rose Bowl football game featuring the University of Southern California (USC Trojans) and the University of Illinois (The fighting Illini). This game is pretty much like a home game for the Trojans because it is happening here in Los Angeles. But don’t be mistaken, those fighting Illini will bring a lot of fans along with them on a mover NYC, (just kidding) because this is there first appearance in twenty three years. Yap, there last Rose Bowl appearance was in 1984 when they lose to the UCLA bruins.
