With the high cost of health insurance nowadays, you seem to wonder how can the poor people afford medical care. Here in California, the government made sure that low income families will have access to medical care even if they don’t have enough money through state aid called “Medi-Cal.” However, Medi-cal are sometimes limited to the kids, parents of those kids, the disabled, and the senior citizens age sixty five and over. If a low-income earner is not any one of these, that person can go the local County and apply for healthcare there. They have ATP or Ability to Pay plans where the patient will be able to have health care by making little to no payments at all if the patient qualifies based on his or her monthly income. The government are willing to cover them instead of this people not getting medical care and getting sick. Because the last thing that they want to see is that the low-income sick person will get really sick and starts an outbreak and make a lot of people sick.
