The internet has changed our lives dramatically. It also created billionaires and millionaires for the imaginative and proactive individuals almost at a short period of time. I’ve looked at various websites and there are quite a few that can really show that they have generated a decent income. Most websites offer to sell something, provide a service or just publish information. Depending on your ideas, product, html skills, budget, knowledge or expertise, there are tons of ways to make money online. One of the ways is by creating a blog and here’s why:

No need to learn html to create website. Blogging is perfect for people like me with little or no html experience. There are tons of ready-made blog softwares that are available like Blogger, Typepad, Movable type , Wordpress, etc that you can download and transfer to your domain host. Also, there are some websites that offer free hosting such as Google’s Blogger and Wordpress so you don’t even have to spend money on that if you want to give it a try.

At first, I was thinking of purchasing various website builders such as MS Frontpage or Dreamweaver to build my website but the drawback is that I still need to learn the functions and how to navigate the application. If I choose the HTML programming route, I don’t have the time to learn it up to the advance level in order for me to create a complex website. As for me, I don’t want to waste essential time as I really want to get started with my site immediately. I’m not so sure how long it would take me to learn those application and softwares: You have to remember that I am not very savvy with programming.

Hiring someone to create one is still out of my budget and besides I am not selling anything yet for me to spend money on a professional. However, I know that I can provide information by sharing my experience or knowledge on a particular subject that’s why blogging is perfect for what I want to do.

Learning a little bit of HTML or script is highly recommended so you can at least tweak some of the functionality of your chosen blog software. To learn the basics of HTML or script, just go to any websites that provides tutorial such as Tubetorial.com.

Custom Design and Templates-There are a lot of templates or designs that are available nowadays online that you can use so you don’t even have to worry about designing your website. But you always have the option to add or modify some of the functionality if you want to enhance the templates.

Automatic archive – one of the advantages of a blog is that it has an automatic archive feature. It allows you to post your articles without having to worry about moving it to an archive section later on with the passage of time. Moreover, this feature is organized by dates and categories, as you can see on my blog, for an easier navigation and search for the reader.

Comment features- Another important feature of a blog is the ability to build relationship with the readers by being able to interact with them. This feature works like a forum where readers can ask questions or provide answers and opinions on the subject matter that you just wrote.

Write about something that you love. Blogging allows you to share and write something that you love whether it is for entertainment, technology, sports, finance, business or just your personal experience. In my case, I have some knowledge of personal finance and taxes because of my educational background and I’d like to share that information. But here’s the caveat, please read my disclaimer!!!!
