Tonight marks the opening night for most NBA (National Basketball Association) teams. The Los Angeles Lakers are playing the Houston Rockets at Staple Center. You might be wondering, what is an NBA got to do with a financial blog. Well, as you know, sports is a huge money making industry in the United States. With respect to personal finance, entertainment expense is something that families would consider to incorporate in their budget. Be it in the form of watching games via cable TV or watching live games at the arenas. It’s getting more expensive nowadays as a family of four would probably spend at least two hundred dollars (including parking, concessions, and tickets) attending just one game!

As for me, I just love watching them on TV, at least I know I have a very good seat and I can always turn them off when the games become boring or lopsided!
