Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, the pride of the Philippines, has beaten Juan Manuel Marquez in 12 rounds by decision. I was watching the fight last night at my friend’s house and we were really cheering hard for Pacquiao to win. Pacman has been fighting with agression and has been called the “Mexican Assassin” for beating seven consecutive Mexicans including future hall of famers and considered Mexican national heroes Marco Antonio Barrera and Erik Morales.

The fight was quite similar to the one in 2004 - it was a draw last time but Marquez kept the title. Similar to the first  fight, Pacman knocked down Marquez but only once this time. Marquez then came back and captured the middle rounds as Pacquiao suffered a cut and was bleeding in one of the middle rounds.Both fighters had cuts in their face. With a lot of hard punches, these guys can suffer concussions or even mild migraine.

There could possibly be a rubber match but this has to happen soon as Pacman indicates that he would love to moved up to the 135 lbs. weight class and fight Diaz. There was also rumors that promoter Arum would love to see a De la Hoya vs Pacquiao match but Pacquiao would seriously move up to 149 lbs. and De la Hoya would have to move down from 155 lbs. weight class
