Summer is coming and we are already planning for our vacation. My wife’s birthday is in August and sometimes when we travel, we only travel for the weekend due to the fact that we are busy at work. So traveling to the east coast such as taking an Orlando vacations is out of the picture because of the length of the vacation that it would take

The past couple of years, we have gone to Las Vegas, Santa Barbara, and San Diego. This year, we are thinking of going to Santa Catalina. Well, the island is not too far from Long Beach, it is actually a one hour ferry ride from the port of Long Beach. It is one of the most popular vacation here because you can have an island experience, just like being in Hawaii, and yet you are still in Los Angeles County.

Although, there have been a number of tragedies out there, such as the brush fire and the most recent one is a helicopter accident.

Anyways, it is one good getaway if you don’t want to go really far.
