It seems that almost every one in the “make money online” blog is copying what John Chow did to promote his website. Here is another blog , which is geared towards search engine marketing, that is promoting his site via the “Review My Blog” methodology. The blog is www.darin.cc by Darin Carter.

Just who exactly is Darin Carter. He has been involved in internet marketing for over 9 years. In addition, he started out in internet advertising sales and worked his way up to the business development side. Lastly, he claims to own one of the top ten pay per click search engine way back in 2001 and 2002. The search engine is called IQSeek.Com.

So why would you review his blog?

First of all, when you review his blog, you will get entered in the drawing that will give you a chance to win a Nintendo Wii. The review must be at least 225 words that include a link to his search engine marketing blog. Darin will hold a drawing on June 11th and it will be done live on a web cast on his blog.

Lastly, just like John Chow, he will provide a reciprocal link to your blog in exchange of the review. I believe that he has a PR2 blog, which means that you have a quality blog linking back at you.

Just by looking at his blog, you can tell that this guy is a John Chow disciple. The Wordpress theme that he was using is the same as John Chow and I think it is adapted from Misty Look. The header picture is a racing car, and again, this is the same style that John Chow uses.

The difference is that because of his profession by trade, Darin is much more knowledgeable than John Chow when it comes to search engine marketing. Darin created Darin.CC to help educate the public on search engine marketing techniques. He has seen so many bad internet marketing sites that he felt the necessity of sharing his knowledge with everyone. His goal is to educate and help others market their websites effectively!

Darin is pretty slick for selecting the search phrase “search engine marketing.” The last time I check, the phrase has been search last month for more than a million times compared to the 50,000 searches of the phrase “make money online” that John Chow uses.
