Here in southern California, energy and water crisis are a big concern. Thus, you can see a lot of ads on TV, billboards, and website promoting saving awareness. Each residents needs to do their part to protect our reserves. Otherwise, the government and energy companies would take action and resolve to rolling blackouts and rationing of water in the community.

As for us, I will be switching to an energy-saving ceiling light in our household. Fluorescent lights cost more than the incandescent ones. However, the long-term savings that fluorescent lights provide more than off-set the initial cost. There is no downgrade in quality as the power is somewhat equivalent to their incandescent counterparts.

We can save the earth and our natural resources if each one of us can contribute or do our part. Every little activity counts!
