Yes, sometimes it does pays to use a travel agent. With the emergence of online travel wholesalers, a lot of travelers are pretty much purchasing their travel plans online such as finding cheap hotels , airfares, cruises, car rentals, etc. However, sometimes it pays or should I say it saves to use a travel agent.

Sometimes a travel agent can find deals or even favorable schedules that you might not find when you are searching online by yourself. A travel agent will have more options or selections for you.

When we went on a cruise, our travel agent found us a very good  room for a very good price. We coudn’t find that same room for that price. Also, we were given one of the cheapest vacation package by our travel agent when we went to Honolulu, Hawai’i three years ago. 

When I went to Canada ten years ago via Air Canada, the airline went on a strike after I arrived in Toronto, Canada. So I for sure, I would have problems with my travel back. So I called my travel agent and she really found me a good alternate airline to fly back home.

Lastly, when you use a travel agent, you do not even have to pay him or her a dime for helping you out. The hotels, airlines, cruise lines, and rental car companies are the ones that are paying him/her.
