Personal Finance, Bargains/Deals and My Misc Ramblings
The football season is almost over and in just a few short weeks we will be watching a lot of bowl games. On the most important bowl, such as the BCS (Bowl Championship Series) and the Superbowl, it is very common that most brokers will purchase a lot of tickets in advance and then will sell them at a very high price, which is sometimes at least ten times the ticket face value price. The scalping business is really a big rip-off for a lot of fans.
A good example of this scalping issue happens recently with the Hannah Montana Tour in Florida where a lot of parents were outraged when a certain broker used an advanced program to snatch a lot of tickets online as soon as the tickets became available. These brokers then resell the tickets for extremely high prices with some tickets ranges between $200 and  $700 for bad seats. And the good seats were selling for at least $1,000.
And yet it is really amazing that the tickets are still selling even at that inflated price because those die hard fans are still willing to pay for those.
